Whale of a tale

7 months pregnant today!
Bailey was completly soaked at the first stop!

I just love Sea World, we have been taking Bailey since she was around 2 years old. Maybe this is why she is totally obsessed with animals, especially Shamu. During the whale show yesterday, Bailey had a genius idea that we should build a whale tank at home and begin raising animals for Sea World. How cute, right? WRONG! This sweet little cute comment turned into an obsession. She had to call her daddy immediately and tell him of her plan and when he didn't answer, she sent him a text. When he didn't text back, she tried calling him again. Then, for the next couple of hours until daddy called back she was asking me every 5 minutes to check my phone just incase I had missed his answer. Looking back I wished he wouldn’t have called because when he did, he told her, "Yes, baby we will build a dolphin tank". Don't think he realized just how serious she was about this. This convo lasted all the way home and up until she went to sleep last night....then morning came and as she opens her eyes, I about fell down when she said "So, are we building the tank today?" To which Jay replies "I was thinking maybe just getting a gold-fish". Nope, she wouldn't have that! I laugh as I write this post because she just asked me, "Are you researching how many fish we will need to feed our whales". Oh brother! I just love this little crazy girl!!!
Bailey loved seeing these guys and all their great gymnastic moves!

Flip-Flop

Call it nesting or call it crazy or if you are like my husband, call it insane. Yesterday I woke up with this crazy idea to switch the babies room and B's room around, I mean totally around. The babies room, aka our den is a lot bigger than B's room and her toys were in both rooms. I didn't want her to feel as though I was kicking her out of her room for the baby so I sat her down and we talked and she was a go. Before I could get my water poured she was packing her room. After a good 10 hours which included taking apart the crib we just put togther, changing table and bailey's bed and of course a quick trip to hobby lobby for wall decor the girls room were completed.
I have to say, after spending the 1st three months in the bed with morning sickness, I am loving all this new found energy. Here are pics of B's new big girl room.

Baby R's pics will be ready once we have her name on the wall...that is when we pic out a name Ha! I did find this wall art and was very excited thatthe colors were perfect for her room! I am in love with the soft look!

First Glimpse

Baby R is growing quickly as so am I! I cannot believe 3 months from now I will be holding our 2nd sweet, little girl. Yesterday Jay, Bailey and myself made a 2 hour trip in hopes of getting the perfect 1st glimpse of what Ms.R might look like. This was our first 3D ultra-sound and I was amazed at all the doctors were able to see. Tears ran down my face as it was confirmed she was indeed a healthy baby. Bailey was amazed to see her little sister so active and thought it was so funny that Baby R kept sticking her tounge out.  After LOTS of pictures Ms.R turned her head and WOULD NOT allow her face to be photographed, she was done. She kept kicking the monitor off my stomach and it became pretty apparent that she just may have a bit of an attitude, Lord help us! I am so thankful that I get the chance to be a mom and pray that I always set a good example for my girls.
Here are pictures from our fantastic afternoon.
look at those lips! hurry up october

God is not thirsty...

If you cannot tell by my post, I just LOVE my little girl. She is an amazing ball of energy that I just can't get enough of. Here lately the things that come out of her mouth, leave me smiling all day and what she said today I just had to share.
Driving home from my moms today it began to rain, Bailey is in backseat singing at the top of her lungs and then I hear nothing. I look in my mirror and she's looking in the sky. What is it, I asked her. She said "nothing, I just don't thinks God has been thirsty, he keeps spilling his drink everywhere"!.
I had to laugh, yes baby I said that's God pouring the rain on us..out of his big ol' glass!

Attitude

An attitude is a favorable or unfavorable evaluation of something. Attitudes are generally positive or negative views of a person, place, thing, or event.

A week ago I received some news concerning my job, I was being moved from 1st grade to Kindergarten. To say I was taken back would be an understatement, do not get me wrong I love Kindergarten but in the past year I became exceptionaly close to my 1st grade team.  I sat up on the balcony of our hotel and just began to pray for some sort of reasoning to what was happening. Jay who I consider my calm in the storm, quickly reminded me that change is not always bad and how important my attitude would be during this process. While still trying to justify the way I felt I was quickly reminded of the many nights I prayed at the beginning of my teaching career to find a job as a Kindergarten teacher, I had so badly wanted it. I thought to how many times I came so close to my "dream", yet something always came up. I realized that our time and God's time is not always the same and how it really was up to me on how this change would work out. I decided right then and there that I would only allow myself to be positive and as it would turn out, once I allowed my self to be excited the joy of moving to Kindergarten began to get stronger with each passing day. I am so thrilled to be teaching Kindergarten and working with a new group of amazing women, I look forward to building bonds with these ladies. Between my 6 years in Pre-K and my year in first I figure Kindergarten will just bridge the gap in my elementary education!
So here's to Change and a Positive Attitude!!!
I AM KINDERGARTEN BOUND!!!!!!!!!!!
